The body is cast on with 118 (124, 130, 136, 142) stitches, knitted in the same rib for 5 cm, increased to 126 (132, 138, 144, 150) and started at round 14 of the 29-round chart, so body and sleeves reach the underarm on the same round. They are joined for a raglan yoke of 186 (196, 206, 216, 226) stitches with a marker at each of the four joins; the chart carries on in each section, lined up with the stitches below, and raglan decreases beside the markers — set out round by round in the pattern — take it to 66 (64, 66, 72, 70) stitches. The collar is 12 (12, 14, 14, 16) cm of K1, P1 rib in black sheep on 5 mm, bound off loosely in rib, and the underarm stitches are grafted.

Original pattern: Guðrún Gunnarsdóttir.
