The yoke has five decrease rounds and ends in the collar of your choice: a ribbed collar knitted on, 16 cm deep and folded over in the light grey photo, or a separate loose collar of striped Léttlopi rib, worn with the orange sweater. Two colours as printed — light grey (ash heather) and orange (carrot red) — in sizes S, M and L. Carrot red and three of the four loose-collar colours — dark wine, orange and sun yellow — are no longer made; ash heather and crimson red still are.

What you get

The knitting pattern in English (PDF), emailed right after purchase — nothing is posted

Two colours — light grey and orange

Two collars — a ribbed collar knitted on, or a separate striped loose collar in Léttlopi

Sizes S, M and L

Yarn and needles are not included. The body is cast on in A with 76 (80, 88) stitches and knitted to 40 (41, 42) cm. The sleeves are cast on with 20 (22, 22) stitches on double-pointed needles; 1 stitch is increased at the beginning of the round every 6th round, 6 times, to 26 (28, 28), and the sleeve is knitted to 46 (47, 48) cm. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke, 104 (112, 120) stitches, with 6 stitches at each underarm left on holders. Over the next 18 (19, 20) rounds come five decrease rounds — slip 1, knit 1, pass the slipped stitch over at the start of every repeat, with 6, 5, 4, 3 and then 2 knit stitches between — down to 39 (42, 45) stitches. Knitted-on collar: 5 (8, 9) stitches are decreased evenly, to 34 (34, 36); on the 10 mm needle come 2 rounds with 12 stitches increased, to 46 (46, 48), then 16 cm of knit 1, purl 1 rib, bound off loosely in rib. For the loose collar the neck is bound off instead, and the collar is knitted on its own in Léttlopi on 4 mm: 116 stitches cast on in B and knitted in the round in knit 1, purl 1 rib in stripes — 3 rounds each of B, C and D, 2 of E, 3 of B and 3 of C — then 12 rounds of knit 2, purl 2 rib in B; in D, 1 stitch is increased between the knit stitches, for knit 3, purl 2 rib on 145 stitches, and after 1 more round of D, 2 of C and 2 of E it is bound off loosely. The underarms are grafted.

Design: Védís Jónsdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 25 (no. 2), Ístex.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1662/1057/files/L25_Light_Grey_Joklalopi_Bulky_Pullover_Sweater_Knitting_Kit_daf7f287-179d-49bb-91ea-14801ea4831c.jpg?v=1791034751
