Védís Jónsdóttir’s cropped round-yoke sweater from Ístex’s Lopi 43 is knitted with one strand of Plötulopi and one of Einband held together: white with peach for a pale, peach-flecked body, and golden blush with grenadine for an orange lattice of zigzags round the yoke. The hems are folded to the inside along a purl round instead of ribbed. Each hem starts in peach Einband alone: cast on loosely on 5.5 mm, knit 5 rounds on 4.5 mm, add white Plötulopi for 1 round, purl 1 round for the fold line and knit 5 more rounds. The body then goes straight on 5.5 mm to 30 (31, 32, 33, 34, 35) cm from the purl round; the sleeves are increased to 55 (57, 61, 63, 65, 67) stitches. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke: a 48-round chart with seven decrease rounds, from 210 (220, 230, 240, 250, 260) stitches to 63 (66, 69, 72, 75, 78); the smaller sizes leave out marked rounds. The neckband is 6 rounds of K1, P1 rib in A+C on 4.5 mm, 1 round of rib in B+D, a purl round and 5 more rounds of rib, bound off loosely. The hems and the neckband are folded to the inside along the purl rounds and slip-stitched down, and the underarms are grafted.

Design: Védís Jónsdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 43 (no. 14), Ístex.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1662/1057/files/lopi43-mar-1_75eeebaa-c719-45db-b342-11b57cb6c3c5.jpg?v=1791005723
