The sleeves start with the same striped rib on 4 mm double-pointed needles, then a round on 5 mm that brings every size to 48 stitches, 5 plain rounds and the border, and are increased at the underarm. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke, 204 (230, 252, 272, 294, 316) stitches, and the 49-round yoke chart — a band of green leaves, then the violet and lilac flowers — takes it down to 68 (76, 82, 88, 96, 104) stitches, with decreases in six rounds; the smaller sizes leave out marked rounds. Six short rows raise the back of the neck.
