On 4.5 mm the 19-round chart is knitted in two-stranded colourwork: dark galaxy buildings with apricot (B) windows low down and mimosa (C) windows higher up, against an air blue (D) sky that turns to fjord blue (E). The hat then goes on in fjord blue to 19 (20) cm from the cast-on edge. For the ears, the piece is divided in half, 24 (26) stitches at each side go on holders, and the middle is grafted together, 21 (22) stitches on each side; each ear is knitted on double-pointed needles, with a K2tog at the start and an SSK at the end of every round, down to 8 (10) stitches, and drawn together.
