No. 5 is for adults, XS to XL, with sleeve lengths for women and for men: white, with a yoke of dark gray points and bands and oatmeal motifs, and a dark gray border above the ribbed hem and cuffs. No. 6 is for children, to fit 110 to 152 cm tall: oatmeal, with black heather and white in the same kind of yoke and border. Each has its own instructions, charts and key; both are knitted in the round from the bottom up and finished with a folded neckband. Every colour in both is still made by Ístex. No. 5: the body is cast on with 116 (122, 130, 136, 144) stitches in white on the 4.5 mm circular, knitted in K1, P1 rib for 6 (6, 6, 7, 7) cm and increased to 128 (136, 144, 152, 160) stitches on the last round; on 6 mm comes an 11-round border from chart 1 — dark gray with oatmeal dots, rising in dark gray points — then white to 38 (40, 42, 43, 44) cm. The sleeves are cast on with 28 (30, 30, 32, 32) stitches on 4.5 mm double-pointed needles, ribbed for 6 (6, 6, 7, 7) cm, increased to 40 (40, 40, 46, 48), given the same border on 6 mm with 1 stitch increased at each end of its round 9, then increased at both ends of every 8th round for women or every 9th for men, 5 (6, 7, 6, 6) times, to 52 (54, 56, 60, 62). Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke — 200 (208, 216, 232, 240) stitches — and a 43-round chart with five decrease rounds takes it down to 75 (78, 81, 87, 90); sizes XS to L leave out marked rounds — 36 (38, 39, 41, 43) rounds in all. No. 6 is made the same way on its own numbers: 92 (98, 108, 114) stitches cast on in oatmeal, 5 (5, 5, 6) cm of rib, 104 (112, 120, 128) stitches for the body, a 9-round border, and the body to 25 (28, 33, 36) cm; the sleeves start with 24 (24, 26, 28) stitches, are increased to 36 (36, 40, 40) after the rib and by 1 stitch at each end of the border’s last round, then at both ends of every 6th round, 3 (4, 4, 5) times, to 44 (46, 50, 52); the yoke starts with 152 (168, 184, 192) stitches and a 35-round chart takes it down to 57 (63, 69, 72) — sizes 110, 122 and 140 leave out marked rounds, 28 (29, 33, 35) rounds in all — moving onto double-pointed needles near the top. Each neckband is K1, P1 rib in the main colour on 4.5 mm double-pointed needles — 8 cm for No. 5, decreased to 54 (54, 54, 56, 58) stitches on its first round, and 7 (7, 8, 8) cm for No. 6, decreased to 50 (50, 52, 52) — cast off loosely, folded in half to the inside and slip-stitched.
