The sleeves are knitted in the round from a black heather cuff, with the same border. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke — a 43-round chart with four decrease rounds. Two rows of machine stitching go into each purl stitch up the front, and the front is cut open between them once the button band is knitted. The black heather front bands are knitted from the held stitches with a stocking-stitch facing that folds over the cut edge, and sewn on.
