Then one stitch is cast on, and the body is joined and knitted in the round on 6 mm, with three purl stitches at the centre front, where it will be cut. The sleeves are knitted in the round from 5 cm K2, P2 cuffs. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke — a 43-round chart with seven decrease rounds: a checkerboard of small staggered blocks, each striped in two to four colours — denim blue, purple, chocolate, amber, gold, light beige, teal and dark green — on the oatmeal. The smaller sizes skip a few rounds. The front is machine-stitched and cut open up the centre purl stitch. The neckband is knitted back and forth in K2, P2 rib on 4.5 mm double-pointed needles to 8 cm, folded in half to the inside and sewn down, and a zipper is sewn in.
