The welt is 6 cm of K1, P1 rib knitted back and forth on 4.5 mm, with the first buttonhole in it; then the body is knitted in the round on 6 mm in midnight blue, with 2 purl stitches at the centre front, where it will be cut. At 12 (12) 13 cm the centre front is knitted back and forth on its own, decreasing at both sides to make two slanting pocket openings, while the linings are knitted in behind them; then the body is joined again. The sleeves are knitted in the round from K1, P1 cuffs. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke — a 39-round chart in white and denim heather on midnight blue, with five decrease rounds; the smaller sizes skip a few rounds. The front is machine-stitched and cut open. Front bands of K1, P1 rib, each with a facing that folds over the cut edge, are knitted on 4.5 mm and sewn on. A short rib neckband is knitted back and forth across the bands and the yoke, and the hood is knitted up from it in stocking stitch on 6 mm, 25 cm high, shaped at the top like a sock heel. Its front edge is folded inside, and a 100 cm cord braided from midnight blue and denim heather is drawn through it. Last, small rib borders are picked up along the pocket openings.

Design: Ragnheiður Matthíasdóttir, adapted by Védís Jónsdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 18 (no. 26), Ístex.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1662/1057/files/lopi18-26-cover-1_d0b121a8-f8f7-43a9-9686-f14f1634fe64.jpg?v=1790992155
