Knitted in the round from the bottom up. One colour version. The mid blue, cadet blue (0098), is no longer made; the black and the light denim heather still are. The body is cast on with 118 (128, 136, 144) stitches in black on the 4.5 mm circular, knitted in K1, P1 rib for 6 (6, 7, 7) cm and increased to 130 (140, 150, 160) stitches on the last round. On 6 mm comes an 8-round border from chart 1 — light denim heather and cadet blue, rising in cadet blue points — then black to 40 (42, 43, 44) cm. The sleeves are cast on with 30 (30, 32, 32) stitches on 4.5 mm double-pointed needles, ribbed for 6 (6, 7, 7) cm, increased to 40 (40, 46, 46) on the last round and given the same border on 6 mm; then they are increased at both ends of the 2nd round and 6 (7, 6, 7) more times after it, every 8th round for women or every 9th for men, to 54 (56, 60, 62) stitches (our reading of the count). Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke — 210 (220, 230, 240) stitches — and a 43-round chart with four decrease rounds takes it down to 84 (88, 92, 96); sizes S, M and L leave out marked rounds — 38 (39, 41, 43) rounds in all. The neckband is 8 cm of K1, P1 rib in black on 4.5 mm double-pointed needles, decreased to 54 (54, 56, 60) stitches on its first round, cast off loosely, folded in half to the inside and slip-stitched.
