The body is then knitted in the round on 6 mm, with a purl stitch at each side of the centre front: a 7-round border — small black diamonds on green between two pale lines — then chocolate heather to the underarm. The sleeves are knitted in the round from a ribbed cuff, with the same border. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke — a 43-round chart with four decrease rounds; the smaller sizes leave out marked rounds. Two rows of machine stitching go into each purl stitch up the front, and the front is cut open between them once the button band is knitted. The ribbed front bands are knitted from the held stitches with a stocking-stitch facing that folds over the cut edge, and sewn on.
