No. 28 is blue, with navy rib and a white yoke band of navy star motifs; No. 29 is chocolate brown, with white rib and black sheep heather stars on the white band. Both have small white dots and white rays up to a folded neckband, a small border above the hem and cuffs, and three sizes, to fit children 140 to 164 cm tall. The body is cast on with 108 (112, 118) stitches on the 4.5 mm circular — in navy (B) for No. 28, in white (A) for No. 29 — knitted in K1, P1 rib for 6 cm and increased to 120 (126, 132) stitches on 6 mm. A 5-round border of small white motifs from chart 1 comes next, then the body goes on in the main colour to 33 (36, 38) cm. The sleeves are cast on with 26 (28, 28) stitches in the same rib colour on 4.5 mm double-pointed needles, ribbed for 6 cm, increased to 38 (40, 42) stitches on 6 mm double-pointed needles, given the same border and increased every 7th round to 50 (52, 54); in sizes 140 and 152 the border does not fit the sleeve stitches — the pattern says so itself. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke: a 36-round chart with four decrease rounds, from 180 (192, 204) stitches to 60 (64, 68) — a white band of star motifs in B (navy or black sheep heather) with a zigzag lower edge, small white dots, and white rays up to the neck; the smaller sizes leave out marked rounds. The neckband is knitted in the rib colour on 4.5 mm double-pointed needles: 1 round knit, then K1, P1 rib to 8 cm, decreased to 52 (54, 54) stitches at the start. It is folded in half to the inside and slip-stitched, and the underarm stitches are grafted.

Design: Védís Jónsdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 12 (nos. 28 and 29), Ístex.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1662/1057/files/lopi12-28-1_457156ef-911e-4485-a1d6-5d4952b94fce.jpg?v=1790998018
