The 7 cm ribbed welt is knitted back and forth on 4.5 mm with the first buttonhole, and 10 stitches at each front edge wait on holders for the bands. The sleeves start with 7 cm of K1, P1 rib on 4.5 mm double-pointed needles and are increased at the underarm. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke — a 41-round chart of white tree motifs on black with two bands of grey heather and white above them, and five decrease rounds, from 199 (207, 215, 231) stitches to 77 (80, 83, 89). Two rows of machine stitching go up each purl stitch, and the front is cut open between them. The ribbed front bands are knitted up from the held welt stitches with a 3-stitch facing, sewn on, and the facing is folded over the cut edge and slip-stitched; the right band has four buttonholes. The neckband is ribbed back and forth on 4.5 mm with the top buttonhole, folded in half to the inside and slip-stitched. The beret is knitted in the round in black on 6 mm, from a moss-stitch edge up to a crown decreased at seven points.

Design: Jóhanna Hjaltadóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 12 (no. 2), Ístex.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1662/1057/files/lopi12-02-22-1_4a889ac6-25ff-4c68-89c2-74a565d07c41.jpg?v=1791000195
