The leaflet prints it in two colour versions with the same stitches and amounts: No. 19 in navy with white, light denim heather and denim heather, and No. 20 in black heather with light ash heather, ash heather and dark grey heather. The yoke’s first band steps from the darkest contrast to the lightest and back, with small crosses in the main colour at its centre; above it come a band of small diamonds, a row of small dark motifs, and short light lines up to a folded neckband. A small stepped border sits above the ribbed hem and cuffs. Five sizes from XS to XL. The leaflet prints only the colour numbers (the names here are our shop’s); all eight colours are still made.

What you get

The knitting pattern in English (PDF), emailed right after purchase — nothing is posted

Both colour versions — No. 19 (navy) and No. 20 (black heather)

Five sizes, XS to XL

Sleeve lengths for women and for men

Two charts — the border above the rib and the yoke — with one key for both versions

Yarn and needles are not included. The body is cast on in the main colour (M) with 116 (122, 130, 138, 144) stitches on the 4½ mm circular and knitted in knit 1, purl 1 rib for 6 (6, 6, 7, 7) cm; on 6 mm, 14 (13, 15, 17, 16) stitches are increased evenly, to 130 (135, 145, 155, 160), chart 1 — an 8-round border — is knitted, and the body goes on in M to 38 (40, 42, 43, 44) cm. The sleeves are cast on with 28 (30, 30, 32, 32) stitches on 4½ mm double-pointed needles, ribbed for 6 (6, 6, 7, 7) cm and increased evenly to 40 (45, 45, 48, 48) on 6 mm; the same border is knitted (in sizes L and XL the pattern says it “does not work out” on the sleeves), then M — “and at the same time” 2 stitches are increased at the underarm every 7th round for the women’s length or every 8th round for the men’s, 7 (6, 7, 7, 8) times, to 54 (57, 59, 62, 64). The sleeves are knitted to 41 (43, 43, 45, 45) cm for women or 46 (48, 48, 50, 50) cm for men. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke, 200 (210, 220, 230, 240) stitches, and the 43-round yoke chart, with one knit-2-together in each repeat on rounds 18, 30 and 39, takes it to 80 (84, 88, 92, 96). Sizes XS to L leave out marked rounds — XS knits 36 rounds, S 38, M 40, L 41 and XL all 43. The neckband is knitted in M on 4½ mm double-pointed needles: decreased evenly to 54 (54, 56, 58, 60) stitches, 8 cm of knit 1, purl 1 rib, bound off loosely, folded in half to the inside and sewn down.
