It is light beige heather with a yoke in dark grey and white: a band of light beige diamonds set in dark grey with white points above it, slanting dark grey diamond shapes, a white and dark grey zigzag, and fine dark grey lines up to a folded neckband. A matching band of diamonds sits above the ribbed hem and cuffs. One colour version, five sizes from XS to XL. The body is cast on in light beige heather (M) with 118 (124, 130, 136, 140) stitches on the 4½ mm circular and knitted in knit 1, purl 1 rib for 6 (6, 6, 7, 7) cm; on 6 mm, 14 (14, 14, 14, 16) stitches are increased evenly, to 132 (138, 144, 150, 156), chart 1 — an 11-round border — is knitted, and the body goes on in M to 38 (40, 42, 43, 44) cm. The sleeves are cast on with 28 (30, 30, 32, 32) stitches on 4½ mm double-pointed needles, ribbed for 6 (6, 6, 7, 7) cm and increased evenly to 42 (42, 42, 48, 48) on 6 mm; the same border is knitted, then M — “and at the same time” 2 stitches are increased at the underarm every 7th round for the women’s length or every 8th round for the men’s, 6 (7, 8, 7, 8) times, to 54 (56, 58, 62, 64). The sleeves are knitted to 41 (43, 43, 45, 45) cm for women or 46 (48, 48, 50, 50) cm for men. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke, 204 (210, 216, 234, 240) stitches, and the 43-round yoke chart, with one knit-2-together in each repeat on rounds 17, 28, 37 and 43, takes it to 68 (70, 72, 78, 80). Sizes XS to L leave out marked rounds — XS knits 36 rounds, S 38, M 39, L 41 and XL all 43. The neckband is knitted in M on 4½ mm double-pointed needles: decreased evenly to 54 (54, 56, 58, 60) stitches, 8 cm of knit 1, purl 1 rib, bound off loosely, folded in half to the inside and sewn down.
