On 6 mm, 2 stitches are cast on at the centre front and purled all the way up as a steek, and the body is joined and knitted in the round in stocking stitch to the underarm. The sleeves start with the same striped rib on 5 mm double-pointed needles and are increased at the underarm six times. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke: a 30-round chart in all five colours with five decrease rounds, from 137 (145, 153, 169) stitches to 55 (58, 61, 67); the smaller sizes leave out marked rounds. The collar is knitted back and forth in K1, P1 rib on 5 mm, with the same 2-row stripe in C, to 4 (4, 5, 5) cm. The purl stitches are sewn twice by machine; after the cardigan is rinsed and dried, the front is cut open between the sewn rows and the zip is sewn in under the front edges.

Design: Rebekka Kristjánsdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 32 (no. 13), Ístex.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1662/1057/files/lopi32-kjos-1_6696b37e-0add-44df-b157-988027039808.jpg?v=1791013541
