On 5.5 mm the yoke is increased to 108 stitches and knitted plain for 9 rounds, then come 4 rounds of moss stitch all round except a stocking-stitch panel at the centre front, 27 stitches wide and 2 stitches narrower each round. In the next round the back and sides are bound off, leaving 31 stitches at the front. The bib is knitted back and forth on these, with a decrease at each end of every row: 7 rows with a 5-stitch moss border round a narrowing stocking-stitch centre, then 5 rows all in moss stitch, down to 7 stitches, which are bound off.
