The body is cast on in B with 104 (112, 120, 128) stitches on the 3½ mm circular and knitted in knit 1, purl 1 rib for 2 (2, 3, 3) cm; on 4½ mm comes chart 1, a 7-round border, then plain A to 20 (22, 24, 26) cm. The sleeves are cast on in B with 28 (30, 32, 32) stitches on 3½ mm double-pointed needles and ribbed for 2 (2, 3, 3) cm, size 2 adding 2 stitches in the last round; on 4½ mm the border is knitted with 4 (2, 4, 4) stitches increased in its first round, to 32 (34, 36, 36), and then in A 2 stitches are increased at the underarm in the first round and every 5th (5th, 6th, 6th) round, 6 (6, 6, 7) times in all, to 44 (46, 48, 50); the sleeve is knitted to 22 (24, 26, 28) cm. Body and sleeves are joined in A for the round yoke, 168 (176, 184, 192) stitches, and the 31-round yoke chart, with five decrease rounds, takes it to 63 (66, 69, 72); the smaller sizes leave out marked rounds. The neckband is knitted in B on 3½ mm double-pointed needles: decreased evenly to 56 (58, 62, 64) stitches, then 4 (4, 4, 5) cm of knit 1, purl 1 rib, bound off loosely, folded in half to the inside and sewn down. The underarms are grafted. Hat (No. 16): knitted in the round from the brim up. 80 stitches are cast on in B on the 3½ mm circular and knitted in knit 1, purl 1 rib for 20 rounds; on 4½ mm come 2 plain rounds, the 9-round chart and 12 rounds of A. The crown is decreased in eight rounds — knit 8, knit 2 together all round, then knit 7, knit 2 together, each followed by a plain round, then knit 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 before each knit 2 together on every round — to 16 stitches, and the yarn is drawn through them. The rib is folded in half.

Design: Védís Jónsdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 28 (nos. 15 and 16), Ístex.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1662/1057/files/L28_1516_Kambur_1-1_675d89e3-d6d7-4374-abee-6c97f6ca7fcc.jpg?v=1791027433
