The body starts with 4 rows of moss stitch knitted back and forth, then 2 purl stitches are cast on and it is joined in the round; the sleeves start with 4 rounds of moss stitch and are increased 6 (6, 7, 7, 7) times. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke, knitted from one chart in three colours with four decrease rounds, from 159 (165, 171, 177, 183) stitches to 55 (57, 59, 61, 63); the smaller sizes leave out marked rounds. The collar is 7 cm of K1, P1 rib on 4.5 mm, knitted back and forth and folded in half to the inside. The purl stitches up the front are sewn twice by machine, the cardigan is rinsed and dried, and the front is cut open. The zip is sewn in by hand, and the folded collar covers its top.

Design: Védís Jónsdóttir for Ístex — the Icelandic Zip Cardigan, an Ístex single pattern.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1662/1057/files/icelandic-zip-cardigan-1_47126329-cfa2-4ea8-93b7-df5c6101b7e8.jpg?v=1790999173
