The body starts with 7 rows of black moss stitch, knitted back and forth on 4 mm; then 2 purl stitches are cast on at the front for the steek and the work is joined on 4.5 mm. Three bands of stranded colourwork — stars, diamonds and small crosses in camel and ash on black — alternate with hazel stripes, each band framed by rounds of rust eyelets (k2tog, yo), and the body is narrowed a little on the way up: 4 stitches at the side markers after the first band, 10 spread evenly round after the second (and, in XS and L, 2 on the back after the third). The short sleeves start with a black moss-stitch cuff on 4 mm double-pointed needles and carry one band. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke, which continues the stripes, bands and eyelet rows, with five decrease rounds. The neckband is 5 rows of black moss stitch on 3.5 mm. The front is machine-sewn and cut open, the underarms are grafted, and both fronts get 2 rows of black single crochet — with 5 chain button loops on the right front.

Design: Védís Jónsdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 28 (no. 14), Ístex.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1662/1057/files/lopi28-hun-1_59f3cb46-f881-4776-bb05-e224df2504d3.jpg?v=1791000432
