Védís Jónsdóttir’s round-yoke sweater from Ístex’s Lopi 29, knitted in Léttlopi for men and women, with four patterned bands around the body and sleeves — from the hem up a zigzag, a chain of squares, small crosses and diamonds — and a yoke with a broad band of large star motifs and a chain of squares below the neck. The pattern has two colourways with the same amounts: beige — barley with murky, chocolate, black sheep, white and straw — and green-grey — rough sea with grey, light grey, ash, black and heather black. Three sizes, XS/S to XL/XXL, each with a man’s and a woman’s sleeve length. The body starts with 4 cm of K1, P1 rib in A on 3.5 mm, then four stranded colour bands from chart 1 on 4.5 mm, with plain rounds of A between them, to 42 (44, 46) cm. The sleeves start with the same rib and carry the same four bands, centred on a marked centre stitch, with the increases worked at the same time; the man’s and the woman’s sleeve differ only in the number of plain rounds between and above the bands. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke, knitted from a 48-round chart with seven decrease rounds, from 260 (280, 300) stitches to 78 (84, 90); the larger sizes repeat a few marked rounds. The neck is 4 cm of K1, P1 rib in A on 3.5 mm, then 6 rounds of stocking stitch in F — straw in the beige colourway, heather black in the green-grey — which roll over in the photos. The underarm stitches are grafted.

Design: Védís Jónsdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 29 (no. 11), Ístex.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1662/1057/files/lopi29-hrim-2_8f010720-bfca-4849-9532-a672bd8f40d2.jpg?v=1791000074
