A braided cable runs up the centre front, a 10 cm band in a second colour crosses the chest and both sleeves, and vertical rib panels sit at the waist at both sides and the centre back. The pattern has two colour versions with the same amounts — orange with a murky (grey-brown) band, and burgundy, a dusty plum rose heather with a darker berry heather band — in sizes S, M and L. Three of the four colours are no longer made: orange (1410), rose heather (9428) and berry heather (9429); murky (1420) still is.

What you get

The knitting pattern in English (PDF), emailed right after purchase — nothing is posted

Two colour versions — orange and burgundy

Sizes S, M and L

The cable chart and a close-up photo of the rib panel on the back

Yarn and needles are not included. The hem is 8 rounds of K1, P1 rib on 3.5 mm, with two purl rounds in it. On 4.5 mm the body is stocking stitch except for 22 stitches at the centre front: 2 purl stitches, an 18-stitch braided cable and 2 purl stitches, from an 8-round chart of 3-over-3 cable crosses. At 20 (21, 22) cm, vertical rib panels begin at both sides and at the centre back and are worked for 10 cm — 5 cm in colour A, then 5 cm in colour B; B then goes on in stocking stitch for 5 cm more, making a 10 cm band. The body is finished in A to 40 (42, 43) cm. The sleeves start with the same rib on 3.5 mm needles, are increased at the underarm, and get the same 10 cm band in B from 32 (33, 34) cm. Body and sleeves are joined for a raglan yoke, decreased 8 stitches every other round beside a 2-stitch purl line at each of the four raglan lines; the cable runs on almost to the neck. The neck is 8 rounds of the hem rib on 3.5 mm, bound off loosely, and the underarms are grafted.

Design: Ásta Guðrún Jóhannsdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 31 (no. 7), Ístex.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1662/1057/files/lopi31-gna-cover-1_edbc2750-3bcd-488f-bee0-382be9bb49b4.jpg?v=1790994883
