The hem and cuffs are moss stitch, and the neckband is folded to the inside. Two sizes, S/M and M/L. The body is cast on in A with 160 (176) stitches on the 3½ mm circular and knitted in moss stitch for 6 rounds; on 4½ mm it goes on in stocking stitch in stripes of 6 rounds, a new colour each time, in the order the pattern lists — 10 stripes for size S/M, 12 for M/L — until the body measures 27 (29.5) cm; the pattern adds: “Work extra stripes if you want a longer sweater.” The sleeves are cast on in A with 60 stitches on 3½ mm double-pointed needles and knitted in moss stitch for 6 rounds, then on 4½ mm the sleeve border chart — 31 rounds, 28 in size S/M — and 6-round stripes; in the last stripes 2 stitches are increased at the underarm every 6th round, 2 (4) times, to 64 (68), and the sleeve measures 44 (45) cm. Body and sleeves are joined in E for the round yoke, 256 (272) stitches, and the yoke chart — 50 rounds, 46 in size S/M — with six decrease rounds takes it to 80 (85). The neckband is knitted on 3½ mm double-pointed needles: one round in A decreasing to 72 (74) stitches, 6 rounds of moss stitch, a purl round and 5 rounds of stocking stitch; it is cast off loosely, folded in half to the inside and stitched down. The underarms are grafted, small flowers are sewn into the roses on the sleeves and the yoke, and the sweater is rinsed and laid flat to dry.

Design: Védís Jónsdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 25 (no. 1), Ístex.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1662/1057/files/L25_EN_01_Fjor_1-585x798_955f792d-e2e0-49ff-99b8-1791db591aba.jpg?v=1791034634
