The ribs are knitted separately in 2×2 rib — sleeve ribs 30–32 cm long, a 20 cm hem rib, a 12 cm collar and 6 cm front borders — and sewn on with backstitch about 1 cm in, which leaves a raised edge. The cardigan is worn purl side out.
