From 29 (31, 33) cm it is increased by 2 stitches at each side, every 6th round, then every 3rd, then every 2nd, to 202 (210, 218) stitches, so the sleeves grow out of the body. The front and the back are then knitted separately, back and forth: the front neck is shaped after 8 (9, 10) cm and the back neck after 14 (15, 16) cm, both are knitted until the armhole measures 22 (23, 24) cm, and the shoulders are grafted. The ribs are knitted separately in K2, P2: two sleeve ribs, in the round from 40 (42, 44) stitches increased to 64 (66, 68), 30 (31, 32) cm long; a 20 cm hem rib; a 12 cm collar on 4.5 mm; and the front borders, 6 cm, on 6 mm. The centre front is machine-sewn twice through each purled column and cut between them, the body is turned purl side out, and the ribs are backstitched on about 1 cm below their bound-off edge, which leaves a raised edge — first on the body and sleeves, then the collar, then the front borders. A ribbon sewn inside the borders hides the cut edge, and large press studs close the front.

Design: Guðbjörg Rut Pálmadóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 31 (no. 18), Ístex.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1662/1057/files/lopi31-blami-1_da5836aa-0a53-47ff-8a42-d4c3df396be2.jpg?v=1791012853
