The skirt is cast on with 141 (168, 186) stitches in carmine red and knitted in the round in stocking stitch to 27 (35, 40) cm; then knitting two together through the back loop and purling one takes it to 94 (112, 124) stitches for a band of twisted rib, 4 (4, 5) cm deep. The sleeves are knitted in the round from 30 (36, 40) stitches and increased under the arm. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke, 150 (180, 200) stitches, and the 34-round chart — two bands of ash scallop shapes on carmine red, with decreases — narrows it to 45 (52, 64); the smaller sizes leave out marked rounds. From round 26 the yoke is knitted back and forth, leaving a slit on the left side of the back, where the back meets the left sleeve. A crocheted shell edging in carmine red — a single crochet, then five double crochets in one stitch — goes round the hem, the cuffs and the neckline, with a chain loop at the slit for the button, and the underarms are grafted.

Design: Guðný María Höskuldsdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 30 (no. 20), Ístex.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1662/1057/files/lopi30-bara-1_ad74a8a5-0fb6-4804-aa29-e229214e3022.jpg?v=1791006270
