There is no ribbing. The body is cast on loosely with 76 (80, 84, 88) stitches on the 15 mm circular and knitted in stocking stitch to 38 (39, 40, 41) cm, then on the 12 mm circular for 12 cm more, to 50 (51, 52, 53) cm, measured flat without stretching. The sleeves are cast on loosely with 24 (24, 26, 26) stitches on 15 mm needles and knitted to 38 (39, 40, 41) cm, then increased evenly by 4 (6, 6, 6) stitches on 12 mm, to 28 (30, 32, 32), and knitted to 44 (45, 46, 47) cm. Body and sleeves are joined on the 12 mm circular, 108 (116, 124, 128) stitches, with 6 stitches under each arm on holders. After 6 (6, 6, 8) plain rounds, every other round is a decrease round of 8 stitches (6 in the last one of size L), each marked — by our reading of the written rounds, one at each edge of the front and of the back and a pair in the middle of each sleeve — until 36 (36, 38, 40) stitches are left; the rounds are written out for each size. The neck is 6 rounds on the 8 mm needle, then one short row across the back — turn with a wrapped stitch, purl to the decrease at the other side of the back, turn — and the stitches are cast off loosely with a 12 mm needle. The underarms are grafted, and the sweater is rinsed carefully by hand and laid flat to dry.

Design: Védís Jónsdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 26 (no. 16), Ístex.
